Be Intentional
Jan 28, 2023One thing that I've learned and really incorporated into my daily life, is being intentional.
Whether I'm about to enter a meeting, go visit family, talk to a new person, or just say hi to my husband after work, I've developed the habit to reset myself, and reframe my mind to what I'm going to do next.
Kind of like Dwight here lol:
For me, what I do is ask myself,
- "How do I want the other person to feel during our conversation?"
- "What three words do I want to describe how I'll show up in this conversation?"
Then I enter the room.
I do this so I'm being proactive, and not just dumping whatever I've been doing or feeling over the last hour or so, onto the first person I see. That's not fair to them. I don't want to be a thief of joy.
I'd rather reset my physical and emotional state, and be responsible for the energy I bring into a new situation.
If you'd like to take a deeper dive into being responsible for your energy, and being intentional in your life, sign up for a free coaching session with me here. We'll walk through your goals and see if coaching is something that can help you with your personal development journey.
Hope that left you satisfied and smiling [that's what she said],
